Hey there Everyone

I have a hard Drive that was the C: Drive from an old Windows XP Machine. I have put it in a Windows 7 Machine to try and Recover the documents.

I have already Taken ownership of all the Folders and Files and when I right Click and open properties on the User account I want to retrieve files from it says 90 Folder and 355 Files.

But when I open the folder and My Documents it only shows My Pictures and My Music folders with nothing in them.

Can anyone tell me how to see all the folders and documents so that I can recover them?

Cheers

Hi, I would suggest to burn Hirens Boot CD onto a USB using Rufus or onto a CD using Imgburn, then boot mini windows xp from the media and browse folders and find the hard drive and copy all of the files to a USB/DVD. This method bypasses user priviledges and you will be able to see all of your files.
