retrieving files from external hard disk

Hi , how to retrieve data from buffalo MiniStation HD-PNTU3 external hard disk? Please help me, all my research data are inside

Please supply more information such as any error messages that appear when you try to read from it, or what happens when you try to read from it.

You should also be aware that saving important data to a single hard drive is not a wise thing to do. It should be saved to at least two separate hard drives in case one one of them fails (which is what may have happened to your Buffalo drive).

So what about the "more information" that I asked you to post?
