[SOLVED] Retrieving files from Folders

This is what I get when I try to open folders from my hard drive

The alias "FIELDWORK 3" can't be opened because the original item can't be found.

My thoughts are that the hard drive failed to transfer the files within this folder.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you don't actually have the files on the drive but only links to those files. A bit more details about this would help, you said the drive failed to transfer the files, so you copied something from another place? Need details about how these files got on the disk. To me it sounds like you never copied the files but only the links to them. If you did not touch anything on the drive, don't use the shortcuts (alias) but just go directly on the disk where those files are located.
