Hello,

I have a couple of SSDs pulled out of Sony Vaio laptop.
Their connectors are differ from standard SATA ones.
I'd like to use them in my desktop PC. Has anyone heard of any kind of adapters to convert this type of connection to standard SATA?

Thanks.

Solution
The one on the top (from your laptop) is a micro SATA connector (uSATA). The one on the bottom is a standard SATA connector. See the wiki link for reference:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA#Power_connectors

You will need to purchase a micro SATA to SATA adapter to get it to work in your desktop:

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Micro+SATA+to+SATA&i=electronics

Do note that slimline SATA is a different connector not applicable in your case. Do not purchase an adapter for slimline SATA connectors.
