Dear Friends--
I have a Dell 435t/9000. A port has died and I tried buying a *new* motherboard. No such luck, it also died.
I need to know what barebones system I need to reuse my existing components that all work fine.
I have i7 cpu
12 GB of 1gb ddr3 RAM
4 1TB sata drives that I use in two RAID 1 configurations.
I have a sound card and a NVidia Graphics Card that works for what I do.
I want to reuse the cooling tower that came with the CPU and I would like the system to be quiet.
Please offer any suggestions as where I should look.
Thanks in advance, Chris

The CPU is a 2.67 i7, the RAM is 1333 DDR 3 though RAM is so cheap I would be happy to update it, The drives are all TB 7200 rpm. The optical is a DVD r/w.
It has USB 2 ports which are fine for all I use them for. The graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 5700 driving two monitors.
I am quite content with the system so I really see no reason to buy a new one.
I use it primarily for web and software development. I also do a lot of Photo processing for which it is all fine.
I would also be happy if someone could recommend a motherboard that would fit into the Dell case which I understand uses non standard mount points.
