What can I re-use and not re-use? I am positive I can't re-use the processor and mobo but I am not so sure about my RAM which is DDR3-1600 4GB x4 with the new MoBo Asus - STRIX Z270-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and Processor Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor. Also, I have 2 HDDs in my PC one has my OS installed on it the other doesn't. Luckily the one that doesn't is the 1 TB one. I am planning to transfer every file I can (photos, videos, work, etc) into the 1 TB HDD and put into the new PC meanwhile putting the new OS in the SSD that I will buy. Will I run into problems doing that?

Solution
You can't re-use your RAM (need DDR4), but you shouldn't have an issue re-using your HDD. As long as you're going to have a fresh OS install on your SSD in your new build.
