Question Reusing Old Graphics Card

Hey guys,

I’m working on my first complete build, and wanted to save a few bucks by using my existing Sapphire R9 270x 2G PCI-E graphics card. I know it’s super old, but I’ve had 0 issues with it and it’s in decent shape. I’m planning on going for a mid-range CPU, as this is definitely going to be a budget build. And I guess my questions are: What’s the highest end CPU I can get away with using alongside this old dusty beast? Would an AMD Ryzen 2600 suffice?

You can use any high end CPU you want, with that GPU. The GPU will hold back performance, but you will have enough CPU grunt, to handle an upgrade, at a later date.
