Cycling lands slow you down too much by coming into play tapped. This
tradeoff only make sense when you use it with Astral Slide. Good players
have tinkered with Krosan Tusker/Astral Slide/Viridian Shaman artifact-hate
decks, but I've yet to see them win (yet).

You would be better off with carddrawing artifacts and/or Forests in place
of the Tranquil Thickets.

> 4 Temple of the False Gods

These make you very vulnerable to LD. Replacing them would be better than
trying to sideboard some anti-LD cards. These are not good cards to begin
with and you are not playing enough 6+ cost cards to make them even
almost-good.

You can't go wrong with 4 Oxidize since they are among your best
anti-artifact cards and you currently have room for more of them in your
sideboard.

> 1 Viridian Shaman
> 1 Venomspout Brackus

I know you would swap this out for something better if you had better
sideboard cards available, so I won't criticize it ;-)

> 2 Silklash Spider (all I have)

I don't find anti-flying cards to be necessary, so you may eventually decide
to swap these for something that works against a better deck type.
Stabilizer comes to mind.

how about 3 Pulse of the Tangle? they combo with Ravenous Baloth. Also, swap
them in versus goblins (and other weenie-swarm decks) and LD. (obviously you
swap them in place of your highest-cost cards.)

I'm planning a similar deck based on the Ravenous Baloth & Pulse of the
Tangle, so I'd be interested to hear about how your deck fares. Mine will
probably also use red and/or white, powered by the Birds and some multicolor
lands.

i did eventually take out the Temples, added more Oxidizes in and Played with
Pulse of the Tangle. The pulse turned out better than I thought. Great
blockers!
