More info?)
Hi,
After exhaustive troubleshooting with other players who had the
same problem, the solution was to repair Windows. It's not as
risky as it sounds, and it ensures you will have a stable platform
to work with, whereas 3rd party uninstallers can be risky.
If it was my system, I would repair it.. It's your choice.
🙂

| Is that the only way to go back to directx 8? I also have
| a directx uninstaller program that says I can get the files
| off the xp cdrom but I searched through my xp cd and
| couldnt find any directx files/folders. This repairing
| windows thing sounds kinda risky, especially considering
| how directx is the only thing I need fixed/reverted. Plus
| wont the update just give me directx 9.0c which will just
| be the same as what I am doing now(read: wont work I will
| still be stuck with 9.0b)?
|
| Thanks for the reply!
