(*Note that my processor and motherboard are old whilst the other parts I plan to buy online)

Question 1 - Should I get a better motherboard or will it suffice?
Question 2 - Should i invest in a high quality case as the current one I have has mediocre ventilation

With a dual card setup, you will need sufficient cooling. If your case uses 1 fan and has little room, then a new case is needed. Another alternative is to get a single card. Single card setups tend to have less frustration and issues compared to dual setup cards. A single 6950/6970 or maybe even a GTX 570/580 will max out most if not all games with playable FPS.

My case is
l=44
w=19
h=42

And has two ventilation areas (12x9 and 8x8) as well as full back ventilation.

It has one internal fan that doesn't even work lol.

Also it looks like if I put my 6950's in crossfire there would be practically no space between them due to my mobo only having two GPU slots right next to each other.

So it looks light I might need a new case but would it be practical to get a new mobo?

EDIT: Is it normal to amass large amounts of dust inside a pc?
EDIT: Also I'm getting two 6950's because I want to run max settings on games to come for the next couple of years at 60fps and I don't plan on upgrading after this for a long time.
