Hello forums! I am buying a new computer finallllly, and wanted to run my build past you guys to make sure there are no glaring bottlenecks or mistakes on my selections. I think where I am struggling most is to either get a 4670k or an 8350, I see a lot of arguements for both, but I thought through this thread I might be able to get answers more specifically tailored to what I will be using the computer for.

THE BUILD

4670k or 8350
8 GB DDR3-1600
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB
Gigabyte GA-P85-D3 -- 4x SATA 6GB/s, 4x USB 3.0
500 Watt - Corsair CX500 V2 PSU
2 TB HARD DRIVE -- 64M Cache, 7200rpm, 6.0Gb/s.

I will be using the computer mainly for gaming, and streaming gaming. (Being able to stream is a major factor for me)

Thanks ahead of time guys! You are the best!

This is a wonderful build. I would choose the 4670k, since there is not much use for the 8350 in current games, which are not heavily threaded.

If you plan on lots of overclocking, the 8350 would be a good choice. Also, I feel that this is nice future-proofing, since more and more games should/will start using more cores. Also, if you want to take a few dollars off, this is a good choice, as you will not loose that much performance.

Also, you may want to consider and SSD for faster loading and booting.

I concur with one reservation. I'm skeptical that games will be using 8 or even 6 cores effectively in the near future. Most still just use two while some such as bf3 are making good use of 4.

Thanks for the answers guys! Its good to get input from people who know what they are talking about after just hearing my friends say "oh, yeah go with that one, it has a cooler name" etc etc.

So this build should be bottleneck free? And also is 8 gigs of RAM enough? Thanks again!

Yes and yes. I game with 4gb actually and it hasn't been a problem.
