APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: ASAP. My current computer is driving me insane.

BUDGET RANGE: Around $1000 for everything (before/after rebates).

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: gaming (SCII, Just Cause 2, GTA IV, NFS: Shift), watching movies, multitasking.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Need everything including monitor, keyboard, mouse, and OS. No speakers needed.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg and Microcenter (Kinda far for me though). I never shopped on ZipZoomFly or NCIX but if you can find good prices for parts I need, please use them.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: New York City

PARTS PREFERENCES: I prefer AMD. Socket 1156 is dead anyway.

OVERCLOCKING: No.

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920 x 1080.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I used Batuchka's build from my previous thread to find more combos to get all the parts I wanted. (b^_^)b I don't know if 600W is enough for this build. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Do motherboards/cases come with standoffs to prevent the mobo from being shorted? Also, do I need to buy extra SATA cables for the DVD drive and the HDD or does the mobo come with them?

They do, most likely with the case.

On the SATA cables, most Mobo gives you 2, which is enough for one ODD and HDD. Check newegg pics, it usually shows how much in the last pic.

No standoffs in the pics of the CM690. In the reviews, people said standoffs and screws are included. I guess I'll find out after I order the computer.

Just touch the case and you should be fine.

Honestly I actually never cared about this and all I did was work barefoot and have yet to break anything (I think lol), but if it makes you feel safer, a $10 anti-static wrist strap is definitely buyable.
