Revised version of 9600XT ??

Hi, i heard rumors on this board that ATI could come up with a new version of the XT ? is it true ? I sure haven't seen any proof of this. Because i was planning to get a 9600XT after christmas and i don't want to buy a XT just before a new version ?

any info on this ?

No respin yet. And we won't know for sure until it happens. It doesn't seem as needed as before.

The main change is that most people are diverging from the ATI ref. spec. by adding GOOD memory. The R9600XT is neck-and-neck with the FX5700U so there's not mush 'NEED' to re-spin from what we've seen. The early leaked review by Hexus seems to have had ATI a little scared, but it appears that that review strongly favoured nV and doesn't reflect the majority of the reviews out there that put the two cards neck and neck.
May still be i the cards but I doubt it. Just look for a good OEM-partner who put good memory and features on the board. Tops right now IMO is ASUS.
