Rewiring PCI express?

Hi I was wondering if it's possible to re wire the PCIe slot that comes built in the motheboard, I've seen my motherboard's PCI Slot and it looks like there are some pinouts so, I just want to ask if it's possible to de-attach the slot and then rewire it (like using ribbon cable) and make an "extension".
I know this could be pretty dumb but it's a question that I would like to answer, also I've seen the pinouts for pci in pinouts.ru so I think this could be done, but I don't want to test it and damage my mobo.

You can use a PCIe riser, but you can't rewire it using an extension cable.

PCIe uses a number of differential pairs which need to be kept in a very particular arrangement to reduce electrical interference, need to be...
1. Do you mean PCIe or PCI?

2. As said there are extenders already

3. It's IMPOSSIBLE to "rewire" a slot like this though I don't even understand what you mean by that. A computer is involved in precision mounting the connectors.

4. Curious WHY you want to do this?
(If I had to guess, it would be to attach a graphics card externally)

PCIe uses a number of differential pairs which need to be kept in a very particular arrangement to reduce electrical interference, need to be impedance matched, and need to be kept to an equal length across the board. Machines working from CAD schematics can do this, you cannot.
