Within the next few weeks, I am planning to build my first computer...and deck it out with RGB. Specifically, it will contain the following components which have a form of RGB lighting:

Mobo: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML120L RGB
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB G1 Gaming
Case Fans: Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance RGB 3 in 1 with RGB LED Controller

However, I'm unsure as to how all the components will sync and what software/hardware it will need to do so. The fans come included with an RGB controller - do I use that, do I use a separate RGB splitter, or do I do something else completely?

Thanks in advance

For the Fans RGB LED Controller Will work i am using it my self and for the GPU if its RGB then it can be controlled by its software which you can download it from the manufacturer website and same for the CPU cooler if its also RGB then it also comes with the software:)

My question is not whether each of the individual components has RGB, my question is whether they can all be synchronized to have the same effect, and if so, how

Sorry, I think I've been a bit vague. I've done a bit more research into Gigabyte Fusion and other RGB solutions, and have confirmed that Cooler Master fans are indeed compatible with my motherboard under this link:

https://www.gigabyte.com/mb/rgb/ready

But the thing is, the pack of three Cooler Master fans comes with a pre-included RGB controller, which connects to the motherboard via a USB header. Will the controller be detected under Gigabyte Fusion through the USB header? When they said CM fans were compatible with Fusion, I assumed this was only if I plugged all the fans in, via an RGB splitter, into the RGB header on the mobo. Can someone confirm/deny this^^?

I can confirm this. You don't need the RGB controller in order to connect your fans to the motherboard and be able to control the effects. The motherboard you have linked supports RGB Fusion. The controller is useful to people that have motherboards without the RGB header. However, I am not sure if it will work by using a simple splitter. Try to find a video that someone does it.
