Question RGB fan controller at the back of my case not working?

I have the sharkoon night shark as a case, and 3 included rgb fans. When I connect these fans (5V 3 pin) in the controller at the back of my case, it doesn't seem to be working. They do spin, but not light up as I expected. But when I connect the fans into my motherboard, they actually do light up. But now i can't control them, and they aren't in sync, unless I install an rgb software. But I wan't to control them through my case's buttons. Can aynone tell me why that rgb control at the back of my case isn't working?

This the case you're working with? If so, did you follow the instructions stated in the manual, here, page 14?

Sorry for the late response. Yes I did what they said to do at pg. 14. My motherboard is the asus prime b660m-a wifi d4.
