JohnBonhamsGhost above raises good points. When you switch to mobo control, you must have the Gigabyte utility RGB Fusion running to control the lights. I see by the case's web page the fans contain ARGB lights. I also note a slightly tricky way the switching works. There is a button on the case top front to change lighting displays with the built-in controller board. If you hold that button down for about 5 sec it should cause the fans' lights to flash white twice, then turn over control to the mobo. If you repeat that action, control reverts to the board. BUT if you hold the button down for 6 sec or more, the lights will just turn OFF. Maybe that is what is happening.
