I have got an msi b350m pro vdh motherboard and am wanting to connect my RGB strip to it through its RGB header, but it is not in the gaming like so I can't control the RGB through the motherboard. What is the RGB header used for when I can't connect RGB to it anyways?

If you knew that your mobo didn’t support rgb, then why the heck did you even buy an rgb led light strip?

It could, however, possibly controlled through an external rgb led controller. Branded rgb led light strips like cooler master’s and NZXT’s only work with their own rgb hubs, however, less known rgb led light strips can work with any rgb controller (that has an receiver).
Please state the brand of your light strip.
Sorry I was a bit unclear. The motherboard is not in the gaming series's of mobos so it is not recognised on any of the main gaming apps, meaning I can't control the RGB 4 pin through software. I was just wondering what it would be for if I can't control my RGB with it, what is it for?
