I gotta problem.
I'm planning to build my first rig, I have picked everything, now just waiting for the right moment to buy (like Black Friday).

I want to put some LED strips inside but I don't wanna use sata to molex cause I'm afraid it will ruin the clean effect. Sata connectors on this mobo are not on the side so I'd have to buy sleved cable.
Can I plug it in straight into 6pin PCIE in PSU. Like 6pin to 4 pin PCIE?
Since there are 2 blacks, 2 yellows and 1 red, I'm guessing pick one black, one yellow and lose the rest?

Thanks

Nice build bro...just get a deepcool rgb 350 I've had them for 2 years and they work perfectly they use a molex connecter which is pretty usual for a led kit..I've never heard of sata being used for a led kit btw

Well, it's practically molex with extra cable. It's been already used by NZXT (Hue).
Their LED controller is powered by SATA port.
I suspect that there are many other sets with SATA power.

Thanks 😉
I was thinking of a cheaper way. I'll try those cheap ones from Aliexpress first, If they're no good I'll look for something else.

I think you're confusing SATA power ports with SATA data ports. The ports on the mobo are for data, not power. The SATA power connectors come from the PSU.

You're absolutely right sir 😛
Sorry

So how do I do it?
In "SATA 6pin to molex" cable there are 2 blacks, 2 yelows and 1 red. At the molex end they are connected with each other. So both blacks to one pin, both yellows to another pin and red yet another pin and one empty.
When connecting the leds do I merge both yellows and both blacks or use one of each?
