Case: phanteks g360a
CPU cooler: vetroo v5
Motherboard: Asus b550m-a WiFi II

Hello. Last November I built my first pc. However I quickly realised that part of the CPU cooler was flickering, and so was the very end of the rgb strip (that came with the case).
I couldn't figure out what was wrong so gave up. It's been bugging me ever since and now I decided to once again try and figure out what the problem is.
I had plugged the RGB cable into my motherboards header, and therefore downloaded RGB software (armoury crate) to try and mess around with different settings and see what happens.

Upon trying a few settings I noticed that certain colours like light blue worked perfectly whereas others like red did not work properly. Additionally different modes such as breathing caused the RGB to have a seizure.

Throughout all of these changes, the RGB strip did not once change colours and just stayed as the default rainbow colour. I no longer have the video I made saved on my phone but I do have the Reddit post I made about a year ago. Here it is. https://reddit.com/r/Phanteks/s/QEQ5yqC107

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. All parts were bought new.

did you connect the CPU cooler´s RGB to a 3pin header of your motherboard? header "add_gen 2"

the case needs such a port as well. Can you daisychain this one too to the 3pin ARGB header of the motherboard?

did you connect the SATA cable to the PSU from the case?
My motherboards dedicated CPU cooler RGB header has 4 pins, so I added the CPU RGB cable of my CPU cooler into the case's daisy chain and connected all 4 fans (3 case, 1 CPU) into my motherboard's 3 pin add_gen2 header. I don't know how to send you a picture of what header it is, but if you find my mobos manuals it's at the bottom left.

Yes, the sata cable is connected. My PSU is a Corsair tx750m or something like that.

if you don´t connect it to the motherboard, does it work with the case control buttons?

just use one fan to the motherboard and try getting it to work with aura

update the BIOS of the motherboard to the latest version
The RGB itself works, but it flickers, and spazzes out if I try change the settings. I'll try using the case controls when I'm home, thanks for the suggestion.

So I should try breaking the daisy chain and just plugging in one fan?

I'd rather not update bios right now, but if I have to I will

Could you take a look at this post? https://reddit.com/r/Phanteks/s/QEQ5yqC107

This is the one I made back then and shows my issue. It isn't about syncing or the motherboard's shutdown rgb - but rather the lights going crazy and not showing the proper colours. Thanks

I did, and therefore I suggested some troubleshooting to try ;)

Other than that your motherboard´s RGB might be faulty and you should RMA it
