Right-Click on Mycomputer problem

Everytime i right-click on my computer i get the circle that indicates that its thinking and it always takes about 10-15 seconds. It didn't use to do this. I have defragged my drive, ran ccleaner, my anti virus, and malwarebytes and they all come up clean. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? I know this isn't that big of a deal but it is a major nuisance.

My system:
AMD Phenom II X4 940
4gb Mushkin Ascent DDR2 1066 RAM
Asus M4A79 Deluxe motherboard
2 Radeon HD 4850 1gb Crossfire
Xclio 850W PSU

I'm hitting the right click to go to the "my computer" properties and to manage my computer.

is there a disc in your disc drive?
it is probably trying to read the disc first

No disk. No floppy. No Flash drive. I don't know what else it would be trying to read.

I am also having a somewhat similar problem with "my computer". When I right click it, I do get the menu pop-up. I can select any of the options fine, except for the manage button. I'm guessing it has something to do with requiring admin access. When I click it any open window will blink or a desktop icon blinks. Any help is appriciated.

occasionally my system will decide to spin down one or more my hard drives, and when I go to my computer (right or double-click) it has to spin them back up. This only takes about 5 seconds though.
