Hey folks.

So as the title says, Right clicking Start, or pressing Windows+X, has no effect. This started happening maybe three days ago? There was an update, but I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. I didn't have to use Win+X until yesterday but I know it was working a week ago so sometime between then.

As far as I can remember, I haven't downloaded or installed anything in that time. Only the update. I've tried a lot of fixes from a lot of different google searches (For instance, copying the WinX folder from the default user into my own), and nothing seems to be helping. I have the three WinX folders listed under my user so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Is this a problem with the latest update or did I do something horribly wrong?

Have you tried a system restore to a date prior to the updates being installed?

Be aware that after the restore automatic updates may try to reinstall those updates unless you have windows updates disabled or set to manual.

I was hoping to avoid this because I don't know exactly what I've changed in the past couple days but I guess it's worth it to restore basic functionality. Gonna try it now.

Edit: Totally worked, though my start screen icons didn't. Restarting again fixed it though. Thanks.
