Right time for memory?

Hello, I have a quick question. I have 6GB (2x2,2x1) of memory, and newegg has a deal for 2x4 1600 Memory. If I get this I can have 12GB instead of 6 which would be nice but not really essential. My question is, should I get this now, or will memory prices continue to drop (especially with black friday looming) and if prices are good enough now, should I; or will I really not be able to tell any difference between 6GB and 12GB.

Also worth noting, I think my 2x1 are 1333 not 1600, so if I upgrade I will have all 4 sticks be 1600.

you cannot tell between 6 or 12.
6 is enough for basically everything.

...and mixing of RAM is never recommended as it may not work, especially DDR3 RAM. There is less than 1% diff in system performance OC'ing the RAM from 1333 MHz. to 1600 MHz. in my testing.
