To clarify, when is the right time to buy one?

Was just wondering if the new drivers have shown it's stability/compatibility or if there are still drivers yet to be released. I just canceled my GForce ti500 purchase, because it's been backordered for like a week and I needed the money for my cpu. :)

I'd go with the Ti500 or hold off and see if ATI gets a good driver set released. Supposedly ATI has 400 people helping them get some good drivers released, I wonder how many nvidia has.

ATI released new drivers a few days ago the enable smoothvision. I would wait a couple weeks to see how good they turn out to be, then buy if your satisfied with the findings.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

NO, the Radeon 8500 (retail) is up to $100 cheaper than the Ti500 (that's in USD)!

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor

The Radeon is looking more impressive, now that I've spent most of my money on upgrading to an AMD 1900+...and I'm about $60 short of a Ti500. =)
