PSU - Seasonic G-550 80Plus Gold
GPU - GTX 970 (zotac blower version)
bought all last year-earlier this year.

This was my connection before,that two ends in the right are 6pins(provided in the GPU) so its connected to the gpu and the left end is connected to the psu. I only bought the molex adapter/extender separately.
its like this => peripheral in psu -> peripheral 4 pin(3) || -> molex -> 6pin(gpu)
|| -> 6pin(gpu)

I was cleaning up my room earlier and came across the box of the psu and I found there were two psi-e 8/6 pin connector inside (i thought that psi was only one,thats why I bought a molex)...so I decided to try that two on to lessen the wires inside my case.
(2x)psi-e/cpu part in psu -> psi-e 8/6 pin connector -> gpu

now the question is there a difference between the two set up? or still it doesn't matter if I didnt do the second set-up and remained with the peripheral connections?

by the way, I have this random problem during playing games that my monitor would just turn off but pc still running (second monitor that is connecting to the motherboard still have the desktop on it) ...is this the problem caused by having the first set up?

Solution
Yes you are better off connecting GPU straight from PSU. Modular PSUs are usually multi rail too and have different power outputs for GPU and for separate ones for drives. Rail for GPU usually requires most power and drives require much less.
The label on the side of PSU should show Amperage at 12v each rail can supply.
my psu is a modular one....I forgot to post pictures for the second setup(current setup) but its using both the pci-e 8/6 pin provided with the psu...that one in the picture was my setup before...
its a peripheral cord with 3 4pins.2 of the pins are attached with a 6pin cord(which was provided by my gpu) and the last 4pin is connected to a molex and the molex is connected with the last 6pin cord(provided by my gpu)...and lastly both 6pins are connected to the gpu..

so Im guessing my current setup is the right one? and my previous set up was causing all the problems?

you dont want to use any of those adapters

that seasonic has all the cables you need

connect both the 6+2 cables directly to the card

XD man that was crazy wiring job

yep it was indeed ahaha...I really dont know why I missed the other psi-e 8/6 connector while I was assembling my pc...I could have not bought a molex if I just saw it and also if I just realized what that connector is for(This was my first time assembling my own pc so I have this mindset that this particular thing was provided or came with the gpu so it must be used so I was set on using the psi-e 6pins provided with the gpu thats why I was looking for ways on using the both of them which led me in buying the molex and using the peripheral connectors..) .
