I have a dual P3 550 Dell Workstation, that the SCSI controller died on.

Naw, my DJ program has its own file format for the music files, all my songs had to be converted to that format, involving quite some time to do, so I have 2 external backups for the music files.

If I have a major crash involving reinstalling, I cannot take a chance of loosing those files.

I just hope Wusy doesn't find out I have them!

Oops!

Sucked sorta. Sat worked, Sun supposed to go boating to Ship Island, but owner of boat decided to stay home at last minute.
So I went and visited several friends around the coast I had not seen in months, drank a few beers and chatted.
Still did not finish cutting yard, only the front. ;(

Ya Mozz, the good old Slot 1. MY parents also run off a PII 450 that's a slot 1.

I've actually been looking for a cheap processor upgrade for this guy, as even though I'm getting my new machine, I'm still going to have this one around to act as a file-server and my download box. Would also allow the current processor to migrate down to my parents and give them a reasonable boost. If you got anything, let me know.

But ya, they really don't die.

Sounded better than mine Rich!

I had to go back to work to get some rest, the wife and I for the past 2 weekends have made a major house restructuring, we both were using one room for our computing purposes, actually we were back to back.

Most of the time it worked out great until I got constantly interested in online gaming [Mostly First Person Shooters] and she became a country music fan [All Day, Every Day], I like some country music but I cannot listen to it constantly, [I'm an old Rock & Roll and Classic Rock Fan].

So we decided for me to keep the existing setup for my purposes, [My computer use and a section of the room for computer repairing and building.], and move her setup to another room, and that has turned out to be a major undertaking, [running all the necessary wiring that the room did not have, disassembling and reassembling her desk, assembling 2 new bookshelves she needed, Etc., Etc., Etc., but its almost done now and it appears its going to work out just fine, when she's happy, I'm Happy!

I know that one. I still remember the fun time I had when we decided to run lines from our DSL input to everyones bedroom in my house. And while we were at it, might as well do phone lines as well.

2 ethernet lines and 2 phone lines per room x 3 bedrooms... Speant a good 5 hours in the crawl space under the main floor of the house that day stapling lines to the main joists and threading cables through holes.
