I am trying out Vision. I see I can download ringers. It seems to say that
it expires after 90 days. Does this mean if I download a ringer it will go
away after 90 days???

In your Content Folder in your SPCS manage page yes. While it's still loaded
In your phone no ...

Since any image can be edited to become a screen saver, its NUTSO to pay for
screensavers.

That's true Phillipe, in more ways that one, because you'd lose everything
else saved on that phone, if you didn't use any of the syncing software
products.

Had that happen with a phone on Verizon and they gave me credit for some
GetItNow! applications I'd downloaded and paid for. Sprint ought to do the
same, but don't ask me to test my theory by breaking my one-week-old phone.

A common interpretation of Eric's sentence would be: if you can
"keep them forever", then you should be able to _use_ them.
Because if you _can't_ use them, then why would you keep them?

And if you can keep _and_ use them, then why does Sprint
appear to imply that they're good for only 90 days?


And to Tim/Phillippe, the subject of this thread is "Ringers".
And I was only referring to ringers.

I'm new to cellphones but I was able to understand this pretty simply. If
my interpretation is correct, the 90 days means that if you do not
"download" the item from its holding area (ie: the Content Manager folder)
then you lose the ringtone, screensaver, etc. If you do download it to your
phone, then the 90 days means nothing. Sprint can't/won't come into your
phone and steal it back on Day 91. It's yours for the life of the phone or
until you delete it.

*stored on your phone*, that's correct. Not in Sprint's online storage area.
Keep the ringers stored on your phone forever, but you have 90 days before
they are deleted out of the PCS Vision download area Sprint maintains for
each customer. Meaning, if you accidentally delete a ringer and the 90 days
isn't up yet, you can re-download it, but after 90 days if you delete a
ringer you'd have to buy it again.

WTF do you think my answer was meant to answer? There seems to be a
problem with people being offered answers and ignoring them, and continuing
to ask the same question multiple times. (You're not the only person doing
this, but it's still annoying.) Sprint SHOULD clarify that you can keep
the ringer on the phone as long as you want but it only stays online for 90
days, but ferchrissakes, the answer has been GIVEN already, more than once.

To free up their server space. The only place where the expiration takes
place on ringers is in your Content Manager folder. Once those 90 days are
up, they take it out of your Content Manager folder. The ringer does not
expire, while it's loaded up on your phone.

I'm a new vision owner, using my 2 free months to see if I want to keep it.
I also assume the words "expires in 90 days" to mean that whatever you
download will cease working in 90 days(expires). I have not seen anything on
the site or phone to say you must download the song to your phone in 90
days, but it will work forever (or until something hapens to it). This is
what the tems say in my content manager folder:

Price: $1.50
License Type: Regular
License for: 90 days


This is a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use this content
for the duration above, subject to the restrictions set forth above and in
the terms applicable to all Premium Services. You agree not to sell,
transfer, copy, publicly perform, create derivative works from or otherwise
reproduce, modify or revise the content. If your Premium Services expire,
are suspended or cancelled under the applicable terms of use, you will not
receive any refund for the remaining unused portion of your invoice period.
The content provided is protected under applicable laws, including copyright
laws.

I interpert the words like "limited" and "use this content for the duration
above" to mean just that, this ringer/game/etc will no longer work after the
term above (90 days). I'm not complaining that if it will work beyond that
time, just wish there was a clear answer somewhere on Sprint's site. This
will answer my question on keeping vision. The only thing I would use it for
is to transfer ringers to the phone, maybe pictures, but doubtful, and
possibly to get pictures off the phone, but again doubtful as I have a
didgital camera to take pictures with. I'd only use the phone cam for
convience. But if you have to pay $15/mo for vision, plus $X.xx for whatever
you want, it's not for me.

Also the 2 free months, are these unlimited? I can't find an answer to that
either, definatly don't want to get hit with a $500 phone bill, and the web
account access is unavaliable because my plan changed durng the billing
cycle.

Then you've got the wrong interpretation. Yours truly and my daughter have
ringers on our phones that are over a year old and purchased through SPCS's
site.

Well, now are starting to confuse two different items with Vision. One is
ringers and the other is having a picture vault on SPCS's server to store
all the pics taken with a camera phone.
