[SOLVED] Ringing noise in headphones

I have a Razer Kraken headset and I am constantly hearing a ringing noise in them when I turn the sound off in windows it is still there but when I use the audio slider on the headphones or unplug them the sound goes away any idea what the problem is? this issue started recently and I use a head phone splitter to connect it to my pc

Probably just some interference from AC or a leaky power supply somewhere. That splitter would be the culprit I would guess.

Might get yourself an iron ferrite core to clip on to the wire to see if that helps, or get a different splitter.
