[SOLVED] rise of nations installing error

When I try to install Rise Of Nations Gold Edition this happens when i have installed 12% of the game:

Rise Of Nations Gold Setup encountered a disk error while writing to the file C:\Program Files\Rise Of Nations \Thrones and Patriot...\RENDER_CTW_New_World_Map_01.png.
Make sure your hard disk is not full, and that the file is not in use.

And then it gives me the options to "Retry" or "Abort"

I checked my hard disk and it's not full and retrying only gives me the same error. I even tried on two different computers.
I am installing it with a disk, not Steam.

Anyone knows what to do? Thanks

It could be that the disk is scratched or just too old to work well anymore or there is some problem with OS compatibility since it is expecting XP

I'll check the disc and I guess I'll consider buying it again. Thanks for the help!

if your going to buy it again i would recommend doing on steam, they have Rise of Nations Extended Edition and wont have an issue installing on your computer

I just missed the 75% sale they had on it but I can wait for the Christmas sales I guess. Thanks!
