Hi, I have 2 options for riser cables, and since nobody else on the internet has asked about comparing these 2, which one is better for gaming?
The first one is USB and SATA powered: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-USB-3-0-PCI-E-Express-1x-to16x-Extender-Riser-Card-Adapter-SATA-Power-Cable-/292061839306?hash=item44003dffca:g:0GwAAOSwuxFYzzOo
It operates through PCI-E 1x but since it goes through USB does this make it faster?
My other option is just a generic 16x-16x riser: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCIe-16X-PCI-Express-PCI-E-16X-to-16X-Riser-Extender-Card-Adapter-Flexible-Cable-/262722391272?hash=item3d2b798ce8:g:bGQAAOSwHMJYLSAk
I know this will be fine as the motherboard I'm getting it for is quite old and only supports PCI-E 1.1
Thanks in advance

Solution
The x16. The x1 riser only has x1 bandwidth which is severely limiting and can decrease gpu performance in half. It does not use usb. How it's used, it's just a copper wire that the pcie signal is going through.

Thanks so much for your answer (love Calvin and Hobbes btw)
I'll buy a couple of the 16x riser just in case one doesn't work.
