hey guys . i own ASUS P8H77-V LE + i5 3470

i bought 2x4GB corsair vengeance 1600 !

what are the risks of Turning X.M.P on in the bios ? is it sort of OCing ? i checked it & both normal & XMP are working at same RAM voltage which is 1.5V it means that no OverVolting happened ? & its safe to proceed ?

second Question is : if ASUS Optimal mode is safe then is it safe to rise BLCK/PEG number from 103.5 to 105.0 ( close to 3780Mhz ) ? normal mode is on 100 ( 3600Mhz )

is it Called Overclocking ?

Nono i dont wanna OC either ! just wanted to USE what i already have in the good way . i saw My Mainboard's support list on its BOX & they have mentioned 1600 as supported . but i saw differente thing in ASUS site it self ( 1600* ) . i wasnt sure whether they meant i should OC my cpu + ram to reach 1600 or 1600Mhz will run nativly . so i turned X.M.P on & Volts & CLock speeds didnt change . so it means 1600 IS supported

so THx alot for confirming this 😉

i know this mainboard + non K CPU = are Still NOGO for Overclocking
So if Multiplayer is Locked THen i cant Change CPU voltage so why there still are parameters to change the Max Turbo Speed ?

If CPU wont be OverVolted then what are the risks of Rising BLCK/PEG number ?

WHAT ARe the Limits & Safe Range of Valid Mhz to make this CPU operate with ( in turbo mode ? )

when i say SAFE i mean not OCing & overvolting anything But makeing it work like TurboModish way
Safe but Fast ! Sorry IM SUCHA NOOB 😀

As said above, you should enable XMP.

As for fiddling with the BCLK, just leave it as it is. You bought non-OC'ing components so leave them as they are. If you start messing with the BCLK without knowing what you're doing you won't fry the ting but you will cause instability.
