As ever, the 'Doubting' John Thomas, eh Ooze?
It's from Fallujah. I watched a documentary on
Thursday which featured the whole of the footage.
Build up of the attack, aftermath etc.
It was filmed by a French news crew who were inside
the city as it was coming out of the siege, which places
it as being filmed within the last two months, IIRC. I watched
it in Spanish, although I expect the documentary has been
shown widely, as it's a harrowing insight into what was (is?)
going on out there.
Maybe it has already been on the BBC or Ch4 over here?
I doubt it'll be shown in the USA, however.
The French footage ends with the film crew being arrested
by trigger happy troops after they dared to enter the house
where a child was recently shot dead during a night raid by
US Farces. Through interviews with the local militia it gave
a deep insight into the minds of the 'defenders' and of the
citizens - and therefore the attitudes of the 'average' Iraqi
If I can find the name of the doc, I'll post links.
It was VERY revealing and scary. And NOT propoganda.
