My dog ate my internet cable. Att says its RJ14 it is a DSL broadband data cable. I tried an RJ14 phone cord and an RJ11 motum modem cord (only because someone said it will work) but It did not. I also tried splicing my chewed cord and that did not work. Don't know why? The only place I found RJ14 was ebay, it says RJ14 patch cable. Is this it? It has been days with no internet. Also, the dog chewed the coaxial cable as well. I bought one but does it need to be a high speed coaxial cord?

The only difference between rj11 and rj14 is the number of wires. Pretty much all so called rj11 cables have 4 wires which technically makes them rj14. You can generally see how many wires are being used so as long as there are 4 it should work.
Slower type of dsl still run on just 2 wires.

Not sure generally any old phone cables you have laying around work for dsl they are not very special.

The coax cable I assume is not being used for internet..almost nobody uses dsl if they have other option. Almost all coax you find is called RG6 you seldom see the older RG59 used anymore. I know a lot of people went to RG6 when over the air tv stations went digital and that was a very long time ago.

The RJ11 carries only phone signal. The Rj14 has two extra wires to carry the data signal. What does it say on the side of the coaxial cable?

Chances are cables that claim to be RJ14 phone are actually RJ11. There unfortunately doesn't seem to be much in the way of pre-made options here as anything that lists RJ11/RJ14 together isn't going to work. There seem to be some RJ14 data cables available with the intended use being horticulture lights and these may work.

Splicing a data cable is typically more trouble than it's worth as you have to match up every cable and wrap them separately.
