Rj45 crimping issue

Hi I've crimped some cat5 rj45. However when ever i test itv using my tester pin 7 always fails. Ive done a new crimp on a short section on both ends and the fault keeps repeating.
Ive tested another cable and the tester is Working correctly.

Any ideas on what i could be doing wrong

It could be your crimper is just not very good. It could be that you are leaving the white/brown wire a little short. Especially without close up pictures of your work, there is no way to tell.

Its hard to take close up. It was a cheap crimping set maybe its bit the dust. Prob makes most sense esp as same cable each time

Take a picture from the end to show the wires all the way to the end and the relative height of the crimped pins.

If you are going to make a lot of RJ45s, getting a good crimper is a must. Even cheap RJ45 plugs can be an issue. I have had batches of RJ45 that just didn't crimp well.

Is this ok? I looked at crimps these seem to align correctly and are straight

Might be the photo of the end of the jack, but #8 looks odd. Different than all the others... But I have done cables that looked fine but failed the tester.

check the awg of the wire and the plugs to make sure they match.

I neef the cable for poe cctv so pin 7 is redundant. Ok borrowing another crimp tool to test it.
