So I purchased a computer that would not turn on. I got a really good deal on it and I assumed it was just something wrong with the power supply or the motherboard was bad. But when I opened it up I found that an entire community of roaches had made their home there for quite awhile along with a spider nest with hundreds of baby spiders. After battling the hoards I found the roach <mod edit> is on everything in the computer, mostly on the mobo. Does anyone know a safe way to try to clean all of this <mod edit> off? Ive already blown it out with compressed air and got it some cleaner but the roach <mod edit> is still on everything hardened on.
Pics after I blew it out

Yeah I wish I would have checked it before I got it. It was from a guy I went to high school with so I thought he'd be upfront with me about it. Not trusting that guy again

He had taken the hard drive out to back up his stuff so he knew, just have to watch who you trust

Wow, he has no shame. Oh well. Best of luck to you. I hope you wore a mask and gloves when you first started cleaning it. Post before and after pictures. =) You can buy a lot of 99% alcohol online.

I can't really tell...once you start cleaning it hopefully it will easily come off...whatever it is.

UPDATE: I've given up on salvaging this computer. I soaked everything in 99.9% alcohol with no luck. I have parted it out and found out all 16gb of ram is completely useless. I pulled the processor and it looks like it would still work, but i dont have a motherboard to try it out in. The video card somehow still works even though it was the nastiest thing in there. Thanks for all the help guys
