Road rash problem

Please guide me.
My config:
Intel Core i7 vPro 2720QM 2.20 ghz
Intel HD Graphics
4GB RAM
300 GB HDD
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

I had the desire to play roadrash. I got the files. I executed the .bat files (those which add the entries to the registry). The forums on the net tell me that the above mentioned step is enough; the roadrash.exe should get you into the game. I also have a rashme.exe. But on running both i get " You need to install....". I have the registry entries made. Please help. Since I have a 64 bit system, the installer file gives me an error.

Edit files were to fix resolution/color issues, due to the game(s) age (1991-2000).

Can you run in compatibility mode? (both the installer, and the application)?
