Hey guys had my Roccat Kone XTD for a few months now and all of a sudden its stopped working. Plugged in a different mouse (Kova +) works fine. When i plug in my XTD the lights are off and the cursor wont move as if the sensor has broke. When i press the buttons on the XTD it responds so the mouse still works. Any ideas on how to fix the cursor movement?

Hi
Since you say the mouse LEDs are not working then that suggests you have lost the 5V supply to the mouse but since the buttons work the data line is OK.
Most likely cause is a broken 5V wire in the USB cable to the mouse,or it has become disconnected inside the mouse also might be worth trying it in a different USB socket.

I've tried other USB ports and no luck, if the 5v line is broke will that stop the sensor from working as well? The mouse can still transmit that the buttons are being pressed which requires electricity so i don't think it would be that. Any other ideas?

Yes it will stop the sensor as it is powered by the 5V line.
The buttons are only switches that switch the data line(USB has 5V,0V and two data lines,so 4 wires) these switches are detected by the PC and not the onboard electronics of the mouse.
So one of your wires has likely become detached and it must be the +5V or the 0V to cause the problems you are having.
If it is a pretty new mouse you could RMA it.
The 5V lines are red and black and are located on the outsides of the plug with the data wires to the inside.

When you say that they are intact do you mean inside the mouse,if so it could still be a break in the wire inside the cable.
If you have a multi meter you could measure the voltage across the 5V and 0V lines and see if it is present.
Otherwise it could be the sensor that has failed and if so you will need a new mouse.
