I have run into this issue after doing a major update to my PC's hardware. I have a Rog Strix Z370-E Gaming motherboard and windows 10 64bit. I have looked on the internet for a lot of solutions such as "Going into Nvidia Control Panel" or "Go into Manage 3D Settings and add the program through Program Settings". I have tried to manually set the GTX to run games and instead it always switches to Intel. I tried "Disabling" Intel graphics card in Device Manager which made the game run off of the GTX. Unfortunately it started to make my CPU run at 100% (Which is an i7-8700K so that should not be happening). I am desperate for answers, maybe i am missing something simple.

My apologies, i forgot to include that i am running a multi monitor setup and have my main monitor plugged into the graphics card with a VGA to DVI converter. my other monitor is plugged into the motherboard using the same converter. Would you suggest that i plug both monitors into my graphics card? One DVI and one HDMI?

I'm am glad that it was just something simple i missed. Thank you
