Rocksmith 2014, Windows 10, and 0xc000007b error.

I have been double checking, verifying everything I know to check, trying to run it in compatibility mode etc... but every time I try to launch the game locally (not within Steam) I get the 0xc000007b error. Within steam it just exits and does nothing.

Has anyone found a legit fix for this error? Ubisoft recommends I call Microsoft support for a fix. I don't have any issues with any application aside from Rocksmith, and I am not sure how much the cost would be to get Microsoft involved, but it does appear this is a common issue with 10.

Wow, nobody? That's scary.

Just FWIW, I have attempted to install it on my Windows 7 desktop as well. Same result.

Else, uninstall it, run Ccleaner, restart, run windows update, then reinstall
