ROG Crosshair VII HDD LED Issue

Hi guys, i was wondering what the f@ck was the led that kept flashing 24/7 on the bottom right of my motherboard. So i ended up looking in the owners manual to identify the annoying led. According to the owners manual its normal for it to flash 24/7 . The led is flashing whenever data is writen or read from the hdd. It should be NOT flashing if i dont have an HDD. And i dont. I only have a 970 evo. Is the PCIE nvme drive considered HDD and the led flashes whenever data is writen or read ? In that case im cool with it. But since it states HDD i found the constant flashing odd.

Any Drive is present + in use = led in use.
