ROG STIRX GTX 1070 idle temperature stable at 54 degree celsius - concerning ?

i have a 8 0G GTX 1070 strix edition ( 3 fans) .... its idle temperatures are 54-55 degree celsius , is it concerning. If it is then what should i do :/

Idle temps don't matter.
While 53°C is on the higher side of the spectrum I don't know if you have decent airflow at idle, if you live in a rather hot climate, and so on.

But I wouldn't be concerned. Load temperature, this is what's important. If the card stays reasonably cool under load it doesn't matter if it's 53°C at idle.

Hello there, I think u have the stock settings on like whey card ur fans are not turning when the card is not under load.
Just make a custom curve in fan setting. If u have problems finding it look on YouTube.
It was at my side the same think card was on 50℃ cuz it's in silent mod.
Hope u can fix it.

ya i change some fan settings in gpu tweak II from 0% to 45% and temp droped to 45 C ..... thanks bro !! 😀

Put the fan curve so it's on low rpm untill it reaches 45℃ then when it hits 60℃ to go around 75-80 percent, that will allow gpu boost to get as much as it wants, and also put the power slider to max so u get better performance out of ur card.

Download MSI afterburner and in settings find fan an make a fan curve and set the power slider to max.
