Do a fresh install with this motherboard. The operating system does it initial preloading of generic software but when it gets to the point where I have to click next I have no mouse or keyboard. I have swapped both out, used all available USB ports. Nothing. What could be the problem? There doesnt seem to be any options of enabling USB in the BIOS. All the years of working with computers I dont believe I have ever run into this issue of not having the mouse/keyboard work. I dont have another bootable operating system to try.

Thanks guys for any help.

Try the ps/2 ports.

No ps/2 ports.
Do any current motherboards have ps/2 ports?

What's the actual model of the board?
Ps/2 is still quite common on boards today but it's going away.
Also what os are you trying to install?

Which version of windows?
Btw it's a B350-f. Not an 8350.

Oh yeah that's normal. Windows 7 is not supported on that board or by ryzen. If you do want to force it on there you'll first have to slipstream your usb 3.0 drivers into the iso or use the 2.0 ports (if that works since windows 7 is not supported you might need to slipstream the drivers anyways).

Thanks for your help though

You would've had to get 10 soon anyways since Windows 7 support ends in 2020.

But I have you guys for support. Who needs windows support, right?

I'm talking about updates and security patches. Sure windows xp and vista still work but any flaws discovered in them are no longer getting fixed as they are no longer supported which puts users at risk.
