[SOLVED] ROG STRIX B360-I CPU upgrade options

Hello

So my current build uses a ROG STRIX B360-I Gaming Mobo with an i5-8400 and I want to know what CPU would be worth upgrading to. I’m currently trying to stream and my cpu is getting bottlenecked.

I know my mobo doesn’t overclock but would getting a K series CPU give me better speeds anyway. The ASUS website says it supports 9th gen with a bios update so I was thinking an i5-9600K/NonK or an i7/9700K/NonK

Just looking for some insight. I’m also running a 1060 6gb but that seems to be doing alright while streaming

If the system is struggling with streaming then try streaming with the GPU instead or if you have a older system/laptop collecting dust you can use that for dedicated streaming.

If you decide to get a CPU upgrade instead at the very least get the 8700(K), 9700K or 9900K due to the extra cores/threads. Getting the 9600K would be more of a sidegrade then upgrade.
