Question ROG Strix B450-F Gaming MOBO not posting, red CPU light

Heyo!
My brother was replacing his motherboard with an the ASUS ROG STRIX b450-f, and all of his components were working before the swap (with issues on the old motherboard's RAM slots), but after swapping all of the components and turning on the PC, the red CPU light has stayed on. We've tried reseating the CPU, swapping ram slots, and making sure all the wires are plugged in. Could it be a BIOS issue?

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2060
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2x8GB
PWR: EVGA G3 550W 80+ Gold

you will need to update the bios to support a 5000 series CPU.
Make sure this is your motherboard and update to the latest bios with the flash back tool following instructions.

After checking the listing, I accidentally put it up as a 5600x when it's actually a 2600x, would I still need to update the bios in order to get the CPU to work with the motherboard?
