Question ROG Strix b450 mic issue

Just set up new gaming PC with ROG b450 gaming Motherboard. All systems go except mic through Astros A10 headset. I’m using a splitter to connect to the back and have tried endless suggestions like Windows settings, download/install of Realtek Audio, and confirmation of mic being enabled in MB BIOS. Still, no mic. Would love any insight on this.

Do you have the ROG Strix B450-F Gaming MB ?
If so do you have Sonic Studio 3 Installed ?
That should auto recognize when you plug it in and open up to let you adjust settings.
It is on the motherboard support/driver CD that came with your motherboard or you can download the Audio drivers from the Asus Support page.

Thanks. I tried that but no luck. Also tried to update Realtek driver I downloaded from Asus but can’t install due to incompatibility with Windows. End of my rope

Have you tested the mic without the splitter?
