Hey there folks!

I've sat the last 3 days trying to figure out why my new motherboard only find 8gb out of 16gb.
I've googled so much and tried a lot of things. Now in my "been awake for way to long state" i think i found out why it's faulty but it's over my head so asking for confirmation if it's this or not.

I had to get a new board because the old one got bios corrupted and that board was a MSI X99S GAMING 7 and all worked on that one.

and as i've said i tried everyting, re-seated CPU and cooler. Twice.
changed up the slots on the dims and yeah.

However i was a bit stupid when i ordered the new board and didnt look at the QVL of the ram and now i have and found this:

Thats my ram, am i reading this right as it can't run 4 sticks on duo's? Or am i dumb?

Oh, i also forgot to mention that CPU-Z see all 16gb's of ram, Bios, Dxdiag, System does not.

Do i need new ram? send help.!

Regards.

Assuming Windows 10, press your Windows key and R together then in teh Run box, type
msconfig
and hit the Enter key.

Under the Boot tab, click Advanced. Can you wind up the RAM entry to a full 16? If it will go the whole way, Windows might wake to the facts.
