Hello all,

I am working on a new build with the ROG STRIX Z370-E, an Intel 8700k and 64gb of Corsair Dominator Platinum.

After having everything all ready to go, my system wouldn't POST. I've gone through the troubleshooting log and tried the entire list, nothing helped. I contacted ASUS for RMA and ended up having them tell me my ram isn't compatible. I have the (CMD64GX4M4C3000C15) model which isn't listed on the Asus Memory Qualified Vendor List, but the model (CMD64GX4M4B3000C15) is on that list. (I tried buying that model first, but that's another story for another day)

I assumed that the newer, more expensive model with the same CAS & clock speed would be compatible with the same motherboard but it appears not. Is there any sort of update to the BIOS i can do to allow this memory to work? (remember that my computer doesn't POST and doesn't have windows installed even yet)

Just figured i would ask before I have to return the RAM :(
