Hi guys,

sorry, but I am clueless.. I read that the ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING has only one NVME slot - but it has two m.2 slots. The manual writes:

1 x M.2_1 Socket 3 with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280 (PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA modes)
1 x M.2_2 Socket 3 with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 3.0 x4 mode)

When the M.2_1(Socket 3) is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 2 (SATA6G_2) will be disabled.

My question now is: Does it support two or one nvme slots?

Sorry, I am confused :(

Thanks in advance!

Ama

2 sockets supporting 2 modules.

if M.2_1 is operating in SATA mode then the 2nd SATA port will be disabled.
both M.2 sockets will be functioning fine but you will lose one available SATA port.

Sorry to ask again, because I am not sure I understood you correctly: So from what I am getting I can use 2 nvmes, and if one is used as sata it will disable the 2nd sata? Correct?
