My ethernet keeps going into "other devices" in device manager which stops my internet connection. I have uninstalled, re-installed, updated drivers multiple times from Asus and also tried intel, reset my network, tried sfc scannow, No errors in resource monitor. It seems to happen when the PC is idle, doesnt happen while in use.
Bad Motherboard?
I really could use some direction
Thank you

“Before BIOS update, please download Intel ME update tool from ASUS support site, and update ME firmware to Version 16.1.25.2020 to ensure optimized system settings.”
^ in BIOS notes, did you perform the mentioned ME update?

My problem still exists, I have installed the me firmware and re-flashed the 2204 bios.
I contact Asus tech support and although I found tons of users with the same issue on Redit The tech said they are not aware of any intel ethernet issues.
From what I have read Versions B1 and B2 have the the problem but Version B3 does not, many people are stating that Asus is sending them replacement boards that are still version B1 and B2 so they continue to have the same issue.
Seems like after 10 years of using Asus boards it might be time to move to MSI
I would love to find a solution though
Any other ideas would be great
Thanks

A long while ago(maybe 2 years ago) we had a couple of folks on the mod team who had Asus boards that had their NIC's knocked out after a BIOS update. I could be wrong about the BIOS but they had their board replaced by Asus. Perhaps it's even the drivers that are acting up.

As for MSI, I've steered clear of them for a long while as their support end is abysmal.
