Question ROG_CROSSHAIR_X670E_HERO Power Connectors Question

Hello,
My first post here.

Please take a look at my screenshot. oops. It seems I cannot attach a screenshot.

I have ROG_CROSSHAIR_X670E_HERO motherboard.
I connected All: A B C and D power connectors.

Can someone explain in possibly simple terms what these two A and B connectors do?
Manual says connect either one or two, what is the reason?
Is that the extra power for M.2 possible drives?

Connect all of them.
